The Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid invites you to the first edition of A.I.PLASTICScon on November 21, 2024 in Lüdenscheid. This focus day is entirely dedicated to the interface between artificial intelligence and plastics processing.

The A.I.PLASTICScon 2024 programme includes numerous exciting presentations on topics such as data acquisition, process optimization, sensor technology and simulation. A special feature of the event is that participants can experience live how AI-based solutions are implemented in practice in the institute's technical centre. Now that artificial intelligence (AI) applications are rapidly finding their way into everyday life, manufacturing companies are faced with the question of how AI can be used efficiently, for example to optimize processes and develop technical solutions independently. How can AI help to reduce waste, save energy and increase product quality? And how can companies use the opportunities of digital transformation to strengthen their competitiveness?

The traditional plastics processing industry in Germany is subject to dramatic developments due to market structure and geopolitical influences. At this time in particular, the question arises as to whether the use of artificial intelligence is a way of compensating for supposed locational disadvantages or maintaining technological supremacy. There are numerous starting points that can be considered: On November 21, 2024, the speakers at A.I.PLASTICScon will dedicate themselves to the concrete evaluation of topics in the tool area and processes and share their experiences on what speaks for and against the use of AI from their point of view. Examples will be presented and demonstrated on site to show how existing machines can also be made fit for the digital future. The speakers and exhibitors will be on hand to discuss their solutions. The current conference program and the possibility to register online can be found on the website of the Kunststoff-Institut.
