The Atmospheric Pressure Plasma User Group (ak-adp) invites you to its 50th workshop on November 12-13, 2025 in Zwickau. The motto this time is "Automotive & Mobility - Use and potential of atmospheric pressure plasmas for OEM and supplier processes".

The demands and requirements for the functionality and design of surfaces are constantly increasing. Technology drivers here are in particular trend-driven industries such as automotive and mobility. Atmospheric plasmas and plasma processes in general are an important building block in the industry's technology toolbox. They offer sustainable processes with high future potential thanks to chemical-free cleaning and functionalization procedures as well as the possibility of depositing nano-coatings. At the 50th ak-adp workshop in Zwickau, decision-makers from the industry will sit down with developers and plasma system manufacturers to discuss current and visionary trends. The Zwickau venue combines the history of automotive development with the current production environment and student creativity and passion for racing.

The presentations will focus on cleaning, bonding and coating processes. This is not just about polymer surfaces. Atmospheric plasmas can make an important contribution to both additive manufacturing and the successful use of polymer recyclates. Vehicle functionality and design determine the goal. The 50th ak-adp workshop "Automotive & Mobility" is being held in cooperation with the WHZ and the Economic Development Agency of the City of Zwickau, supported by Tigres GmbH, Sura Instruments GmbH & Plasmatreat GmbH. The conference venue is the August Horch Museum, the birthplace of the Audi brand. In addition to the lectures and discussions, all participants are invited to a guided tour of the museum and the established regulars' table with a wide range of opportunities for exchanging information and maintaining contacts. There will also be the opportunity to find out about current developments in the Formula Student design competition from the WHZ world champion racing team and to reminisce about nostalgic memories on a Trabi tour (limited number of participants). Further information and registration can be found on the ak-adp website.
