SEH Engineering at PaintExpo 2024: Power-and-free conveyor technology
SEH Engineering GmbH will be presenting its broad portfolio of power-and-free conveyor technology at PaintExpo 2024. The material handling specialist's robust systems have proven themselves for many years at high temperatures (up to 260 degrees Celsius) and other critical conditions.
The systems from SEH Engineering are ideal for contract and in-house coaters who are looking for a flexible solution for transporting, buffering and distributing painted goods with extremely different dimensions and geometries of up to 5,000 kg in a matter of seconds. The highlight: in cases where the painting area needs to be linked with upstream and downstream processes over a longer distance, they can be combined with the smart and lightweight Skyrail monorail system to create a highly efficient integrated material flow system with little effort. The power and free conveyors from SEH Engineering offer a high degree of flexibility for transport tasks in the core areas of surface technology, from pre-treatment and coating to the curing oven. The free rail takes up the entire load of the conveyed material, while the trolley hoists are engaged in the continuously driven chain to be released again at the appropriate point via stoppers. For buffering, distribution and sequencing, the workpieces change chain circuits via switches. Conveyor streams can be separated or merged again as required in wet paint and powder coating lines.
The combination of Power and Free conveyor and smart Skyrail EMS promises even more flexibility: chain technology transports the trolley trains of the Power and Free system reliably through critical areas such as paint booths, powder ovens/paint dryers, etc.; on the long conveying routes from the incoming goods to the painting process or from the painting process to assembly lines or dispatch, the Skyrail vehicles take over the Power and Free trolley trains "piggyback", as it were. In this way, painting and electroplating plant operators as well as contract coaters, who have to meet continuously increasing quality targets and throughput rates, now also benefit from the advantages of continuous intelligent overhead conveyor technology. SEH Engineering also offers retrofitting and retooling for customers who need to expand and modernize their existing power-and-free system or those who are particularly focused on sustainability and resource efficiency. In order to meet the increased demand, the material handling specialist from East Frisia has further expanded this service since the beginning of the year and outsourced it to a separate division. Power-and-Free systems are extremely robust and durable. Only certain wearing parts, such as the chain or the horizontal and vertical bends, need to be checked for functionality and replaced if necessary after several years of operation and heavy use. Retrofitting and retooling is therefore particularly suitable for power and free conveyor technology.
