Pfeiffer Vacuum invests €75 million in Annecy/France location

In mid-May, Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG announced a seven-year, €75 million investment plan for its Annecy facility during "Choose France 2023," the summit for foreign investors in France.

Pfeiffer Vacuum CEO Dr. Britta Giesen had the honor of attending the summit in Versailles on May 15 at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The investor meeting brings together hundreds of executives from major international companies each year. The goal is to stimulate investment in France. "Our investment plan will be used to modernize and digitalize our production to continue our growth," said Dr. Britta Giesen. "We want to double the operations of our French subsidiary with a sales target of €600 million by 2030 and create 100 to 150 additional jobs," the Pfeiffer Vacuum CEO said. The Annecy location of Pfeiffer Vacuum, one of the world's leading suppliers of vacuum technology, has the advantage that most of its employees live nearby. "This enables us to reduce commuting to a minimum and encourage the use of public transportation. Today, 20 percent of our employees already walk or bike to work. Some even no longer own a car," said Guillaume Kreziak, Managing Director of Pfeiffer Vacuum SAS, the Group's French subsidiary.
