Axalta becomes exclusive supplier for BMW vehicle paint own brand

Axalta Coating Systems becomes exclusive supplier for ColorSystem. This is the BMW Group's own paint brand for currently 15 European countries and South Africa. The agreement covers the BMW Group network of 730 car dealerships and partners in the field of accident repair.
The BMW Group's ColorSystem was developed as one of the most technologically advanced paint systems in the world. The repair solutions it offers meet the BMW Group's vehicle manufacturer standards. "The BMW Group selects only top-of-the-line products for its dealerships and collision repair partners to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency and sustainability," said Troy Weaver, Senior Vice President, Global Refinish, Axalta. "Through a challenging process, Axalta has proven that it can maintain outstanding service to BMW Group dealerships and customers. We are very much looking forward to building a mutually beneficial, strong and future-proof relationship while expanding ColorSystem's network to even more collision repair shops and additional countries."
As part of the agreement, Axalta will also offer its latest innovative paint system, which utilizes Fast-Cure Low Energy technology. This system has the potential to reduce CO2 emission equivalent and energy consumption by up to 45 percent compared to conventional coating technologies. Axalta aims to be a one-stop shop for its customers. The company will also supply the BMW Group with additional products such as accessories and equipment to meet the needs of the repair shops. The planned cooperation has a duration of 4 years and complements existing supplier agreements with the BMW Group.
