Fully occupied exhibition center for AMB 2022

It is once again the meeting place for the metalworking industry in the heart of Europe: After four years, AMB 2022 will once again present the highlights of the international metalworking industry. From September 13 to 17, the focus will be on products, technologies, innovations, services and concepts for metalworking.
Around 1,250 exhibitors ensure a fully occupied exhibition center with around 120,000 gross square meters. A special focus of AMB this year is on automation, sustainability and digitalization in manufacturing, although topics such as disrupted supply chains and the situation in Ukraine also move minds. With the official opening on the first day of the trade show, politics and industry will ring in five varied days of trade show action. Roland Bleinroth, Managing Director of Messe Stuttgart, welcomed exhibitors, visitors and journalists to the trade fair grounds in the morning: "AMB is celebrating two anniversaries this year: the first AMB took place in 1982, 40 years ago. This year we can now celebrate the 20th edition of the trade fair. AMB was and is the industry platform for mechanical and plant engineering, one of the important key technologies in Baden-Württemberg, with a focus on machine tools and precision tools."
Gunnar Mey, Director of Trade Fairs & Events at Messe Stuttgart, concluded the opening by giving current trade fair tips and recommending one or two trade fair highlights. "For the first time this year, we are organizing the AMB Trend Lounge with theme days on digitalization, sustainability and start-ups. In addition, the AMB Smart Factory, organized by Fanuc with partners, is located in the East Entrance. Here, visitors can experience automation and the digital twin live. Also new this year: the self-guided tours on special interest topics such as e-mobility or medical technology," says Mey. AMB 2022 is supported by the conceptual sponsoring associations VDMA Präzisionswerkzeuge e.V., VDMA Software und Digitalisierung e.V. and VDW Verein Deutscher Werkzeugmaschinenfabriken e.V..
