Digital VOA seminars for anodizers and coaters

The Verband für die Oberflächenveredelung von Aluminium e. V. (VOA) is offering its established training events on 5.11.2024 and from 12 to 14.11.2024: the Coating and Qualicoat Seminar and the Anodizing Seminar.
The VOA's Qualicoat and Eloxal seminars have been a firm fixture in the surface finishing industry calendar for several years. Beginners and advanced users alike receive theoretical and practical know-how on interesting specialist topics in a condensed form. The VOA regularly invests a lot of time and passion in the program design of its seminars, taking into account the wishes and suggestions of its member companies and other interested participants. The result: two varied training events - practical and, thanks to this year's digital event format, also time and cost-saving. The VOA plans to alternate its two seminars online and in person so that participants can benefit from the advantages of both event formats. In 2025, the Eloxal seminar will therefore take place physically again to accommodate all VOA members who appreciate the personal exchange on site.
In particular, licensees and approvers of the globally valid Qualicoat quality mark will benefit from the VOA training event on the coating process, as the general licensor based in Switzerland recognizes the seminar of the German general licensee as mandatory training, which the globally valid specifications provide for. Accordingly, the international quality mark Qualicoat with the current specifications, test statistics and self-monitoring is the focus of the seminar. Further topics: Pre-treatment of aluminium, furnace temperature measurement and evaluations - also according to the Qualicoat specifications - as well as the energy-optimized stoving process. The coating and Qualicoat seminar will be led by Matthias Krämer, Head of Technology at the VOA, and Ralf Heitzelmann (ALBEA Metall-Oberflächentechnik GmbH) in his role as Deputy Head of the Technical Commission of the VOA. Under the direction of Friedhelm U. Scholten, Chairman of the VOA, the three-day anodizing seminar will be all about anodizing aluminium. The individual anodizing process steps will be covered in a tried-and-tested manner - from basic knowledge and defect management to the international QUALANOD quality mark, which the VOA also awards as a general licensee in Germany. In addition, the association offers excursions on the topics of "Dimensionally accurate anodizing", "Circulation of anodizing baths" and "Digital sub-anodizing printing" and also focuses on the all-important quality assurance for reproducible, outstanding anodizing results.
