Excelitas Technologies Corp. announces the completion of the acquisition of the Noblelight division of the Heraeus Group. Noblelight has plants in Germany, the UK, the USA, China and Japan as well as several international application centers and sales offices.

Excelitas, a leading company in the development and production of innovative, market-oriented photonics solutions for industry and medical technology, says it is strengthening its position in the global market for specialty light sources with the acquisition of Heraeus Noblelight. Noblelight specializes in the development and manufacture of specialty light sources, components and system solutions with wavelengths from ultraviolet to infrared for applications in instrumental analytics, industrial UV curing, water treatment, electronics manufacturing, medical and cosmetic therapy, battery production and beyond.

The Noblelight takeover is the latest in a series of strategic acquisitions by Excelitas Technologies since it was founded in 2010. "We have great expectations for our new partnership," added Noblelight Managing Director Roland Eckl. "We are optimally positioned to provide our customers with convincing solutions and accelerate our growth trajectory." The takeover was officially completed on January 1, 2024. The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms of the agreement.
