Deloro: Anti-aging powder for additive manufacturing
Deloro Wear Solutions, supplier of metallic wear protection, will be presenting its portfolio in the field of additive manufacturing at Formnext 2024. This includes the use of cobalt-based Stellite alloys for 3D printing and the production of dental and orthopaedic implants from high-performance cobalt-chromium (CoCr) powders.
Deloro Wear Solutions is known for its expertise in the production of wear-resistant components and coatings that deliver top performance in demanding environments. With the cobalt-chromium powders from the Stellite alloy family, Deloro is now showcasing materials at the Formnext 2024 trade fair (November 19-22) that have been specially developed for additive manufacturing and are particularly suitable for dental implants, dental crowns and orthopaedic implants. "Our CoCr alloys offer outstanding biocompatibility, corrosion and wear resistance - ideal properties for applications in the healthcare sector. Whether dental crowns, bridges or orthopaedic prostheses: Our materials guarantee durability and reliability," says Jasmin Lang, Director Welding Equipment/Materials at Deloro Wear Solutions.
In addition to the material properties, the production technology also plays a key role. Deloro will be presenting various additive manufacturing processes at Formnext, including selective laser melting (SLM) and metal binder jetting (MBJ). These technologies enable the precise and fast production of components with complex geometries - a decisive advantage for the production of customized implants. In addition, Deloro is setting new standards in the durability of metal components with its "Full Metal Anti-Aging" concept. Thanks to their high resistance to wear, corrosion and temperature, CoCr alloys offer an optimal solution for the high demands of medical technology.
