B+T Innovation Award 2023 goes to MacDermid Enthone
B+T has presented its Innovation Award 2023 to MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions. A delegation from MacDermid Enthone Solutions visited B+T at the end of November 2023 to receive the award. Frank Benner, Managing Director of the B+T Group, and his staff warmly welcomed the MacDermid Enthone employees.
MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is one of the world's leading suppliers of specialty chemicals for functional and decorative surface treatment and is integrated into the Element Solutions Group. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, the ESI Group has 5,000 employees worldwide and serves surface technology companies in more than 50 countries. MacDermid Enthone's coating systems are critical components in virtually every vehicle manufactured worldwide, in aerospace and medical technology, and in most conceivable areas of industrial manufacturing. Anti-corrosion surfaces and wear-resistant coatings ensure the longevity of products. The company has put sustainability at the top of its agenda and has therefore founded companies such as Envio Solutions. ESI was also recently awarded the Ecovadis silver medal. MacDermid Enthone is focusing on research and innovation to make its processes even more sustainable and resource-efficient. The focus is on increasing efficiency and reducing the use of energy and chemicals in order to minimize the CO2 footprint and offer customers added value in the long term.
This motivation is also part of the DNA of B+T Oberflächentechnik, which sees MacDermid Enthone not only as a supplier of chemicals and process solutions, but also as a strong partner in the pursuit of the common mission. It was therefore important to the employees at B+T to select the company and its employees for the Innovation Award 2023. B+T thus recognizes the sustainability of the solutions, the personal and individual support during the collaboration - in the past and in the future. A decisive criterion for the selection of MacDermid Enthone was that the company not only finds selective solutions, but thinks holistically and strives for the complete decarbonization of the entire life cycle of products and services in the supply chain. The global corporation makes no distinction as to whether the customer is a small business, an SME or a large corporation. The award is presented annually by B+T to companies or institutions that demonstrate particularly innovative approaches and solutions in the areas of ecology, people-centeredness, sustainability or social commitment.
