Surface collection from Rehau receives Red Dot Award

With the Red Dot Award 2023 in the category "Product Design: Materials and Surfaces", the Rauvisio Crystal Deep Collection was honored by a top-class jury for the second time this year. The Red Dot Label has become an internationally coveted seal of quality for good design. The jury, which is reconstituted every year, follows the motto "In search of good design" and evaluates each submission individually. Products that want to be considered for the award must be aesthetically pleasing, functional, smart or innovative. These are all characteristics that REHAU's new surface collection brings to the table. "The fact that we have once again received an international design award with the Red Dot Award makes us very happy," says Hans Peter Mehnert, Director Product Management Furniture Systems and Components. "But we are even more pleased that we have received very good feedback from the trade and industry for our Rauvisio Crystal Deep Collection." After all, the smart glass laminate for furniture surfaces has now made it into the range of almost all German kitchen manufacturers. No wonder, the material with its special depth effect in combination with the subtle metallic shimmer offers a surface experience with depth effect. Depending on the incidence of light, the beauty of the deep gloss unfolds and immerses the room in a unique mood. Whether as a strong contrasting element or restrained and elegant in combination with other surfaces - the material always blends harmoniously into the overall concept of the interior. As a material, glass laminate offers numerous advantages in processing and daily use. It is more versatile than almost any other material. No wonder, then, that Rauvisio Crystal is also referred to as "glass for carpenters": It combines the noble look of real glass with the outstanding properties of glass laminate. This means that the material can be processed with conventional carpentry tools and sets practically no limits in the creation of interior design.
