Stuttgart Surface Technology Award 2024: application deadline approaching
The application deadline for the Stuttgart Surface Technology Award "The Surface" is approaching: Participants still have until April 8, 2024 to apply for this prestigious award for applications and technologies in all disciplines of surface technology.
The Surface Technology Award "The Surface" honors applications and technologies from all disciplines of surface technology. Participants can look forward to an award ceremony at the international trade fair SurfaceTechnology Germany on June 4, 2024 in Stuttgart. Applicants must complete and submit the application data sheet. Further information can also be found on the competition page. An expert jury consisting of Martin Metzner, Head of the Electroplating Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, Martin Riester (VDMA Surface Technology) and Michael Hilt (Forschungsgesellschaft für Pigmente und Lacke e.V.) will assess not only sustainability but also the degree of innovation, the characteristics of the technology or application as an enabling technology and its industrial feasibility.
The award is aimed at individuals or organizations. Anyone who has played an innovative role in shaping the surface technology sector is invited to take part in the competition, regardless of whether they work in electroplating, painting technology, thermal spraying or other industrial sectors. The Stuttgart Surface Technology Prize "The Surface" is awarded every two years and will be awarded for the ninth time in 2024 by Fraunhofer IPA.
