Singulus Technologies is supplying a Polycoater cathode sputtering system (PVD = sputtering) for a customer in Italy. It will be used for coating cosmetics cartons and packaging.

The cosmetics industry places the highest demands on aesthetics and quality. These requirements are not limited to the products themselves - the cosmetics cartons and packaging are also finished in innovative, efficient processes. Decorluxe, an Italian group of companies with a turnover of 50 million euros and a long-standing tradition in the Italian market, will in future rely on a production system from Singulus Technologies for its manufacturing: the Polycoater sputtering system (PVD = sputtering). "Our customers trust us to offer them the best solution," says Claudio Mottini, CEO of Decorluxe: "We are pleased to use the sputtering system from Singulus Technologies, a system that enables high-quality, fast and reliable metallization of three-dimensional substrates."

The cooperation between the two companies strengthens the market position of Singulus Technologies in the Italian market. Only recently, another order was placed in Italy with the Polycoater. Singulus Technologies offers an alternative to the established, regional machine manufacturers. "We are pleased about the good partnership with Decorluxe," explains Dr. Stefan Rinck, CEO of Singulus Technologies. "Our systems impress with their efficiency, easy integration into existing production lines and a CO2 footprint that conventional processes cannot achieve." The polycoater from Singulus Technologies is designed as an inline system and works according to the principle of vacuum cathode sputtering (physical vapor deposition = sputtering). Inline PVD coating in a vacuum offers numerous advantages. Compared to traditional batch production, this solution automates the manufacturing process and significantly reduces production costs thanks to the shorter cycle times of inline production. To ensure perfect coating from all sides, the components are rotated in the coating chamber.
