Do internships!" - "Don't be afraid, you will be helped" - "Find your career goal!" These are messages that Flynn Nowak, an apprentice at Lackwerke Peters, sends over the radio to promote dual training.

19-year-old Flynn Nowak is a second-year industrial clerk trainee at Lackwerke Peters in Kempen. In a joint initiative by the Viersen district and the Mittlerer Niederrhein Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Nettetal native spent an entire morning in a radio interview talking about his day-to-day work at the world's leading developer and manufacturer of high-tech coatings for electronics. Dual vocational training is the focus of the campaign. Relaxed, charming and calm, Flynn Nowak responds to all the questions posed by presenter Livia Wejchenig at the radio mike. During his presentation, it becomes clear that he was right in his decision to pursue an apprenticeship after graduating from Breyeller Gesamtschule. Flynn himself joined the Kempen-based chemical company through an internship in grade 9 and felt right at home from the start.

"As part of my training, I go through all the departments at Peters, I get to ask questions and I learn a lot," the trainee reports. In the interview, he highlights the role of his parents, who have always encouraged him and whose judgment is still important to him. Flynn Nowak emphasizes several times that the dual training program has also helped him personally in his professional development. The initiative for the training offensive - in which Peters is participating - comes from the municipal coordination office of the Viersen district. This institution is responsible for transition management between school and working life. The broadcast format is accompanied by the IHK Ausbildungs-GmbH (Chamber of Industry and Commerce) as part of the Training Ambassadors project. "Here, trainees are trained as ambassadors to report on their training in school classes or on the radio," mentions Stefanie Liebe.
