The colored wood preservative Lucite 152 Wetterschutz from Dörken is now available in an optimized version and in a new, modern design. The product is an ideal one-pot system for efficient, safe and high-quality priming and topcoating of wooden components in both exterior and interior areas.
Whether wooden houses, carports, trusses, wooden balconies, frieze fences, roof soffits or curtain-type profiled wood on facades: The newly optimized Lucite 152 weather protection from Dörken is a silk-glossy, water-thinnable dispersion coating based on pure acrylate. It is highly diffusible and impervious to driving rain, making it suitable for permanently protecting a wide variety of wood components from moisture and other weathering influences. Since the permanently elastic and very thin coating film easily absorbs the typical stresses in the wood, cracking of the surface or flaking from the substrate is effectively prevented. At the same time, the protective coating is very hard and resistant to dirt. Thanks to the high block resistance and secure edge coverage of the highly durable surface, Lucite 152 Weather Protection is also a perfect coating solution for windows and doors.
According to the manufacturer, the escape of wood-discoloring ingredients from the wood substrate is greatly minimized and undesirable yellowish discoloration thus remains invisible. A real innovation in Lucite 152 Weather Protection is the significantly reduced leaching of emulsifiers and wetting agents. As a result, the coating remains load-bearing and visually flawless over the long term. Another plus is the easy and efficient application - by brush, roller, airless, HVLP or high-pressure process, as required. Thanks to a special adhesion promoter, the wood preservative has very good wet adhesion and can also be applied to connecting components such as gutters or downpipes made of zinc or aluminum without changing the material. In addition, the coating dries very quickly and is already early rainproof after 2-3 hours.
