AkzoNobel appoints Hans-Joachim Müller as member of the Supervisory Board

AkzoNobel has announced the nomination of Dr. Hans-Joachim Müller to the company's Supervisory Board. The nomination was submitted to the shareholders for approval at the Annual General Meeting on April 25, 2025.

Commenting on the appointment of Dr. Hans-Joachim Müller, Ben Noteboom, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of AkzoNobel, said: "With Hans-Joachim, we look forward to continuing to create long-term value for all our stakeholders. He brings a wealth of knowledge in science and experience in the chemical industry. We wish him every success in his new role." Dr. Müller is currently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TIB Chemicals AG and a member of the Supervisory Board of Lanxess AG.

At the Annual General Meeting, three Supervisory Board members will step down at the end of their term of office: Patrick Thomas, who has been a member of the Audit Committee since 2017, Dick Sluimers, who has been Chairman of the Remuneration Committee since 2015, and Byron Grote, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee, who has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2014. Noteboom added: "We would like to sincerely thank Patrick, Dick and Byron for their outstanding contribution and many years of invaluable service. They have all played an important role at a time of great change for the company and have helped to shape the way forward. We wish them all the best for the future."
