Ligna 2023: Exhibition space already three-quarters booked

Despite a whole series of special challenges such as rising energy prices, material shortages and economic uncertainties in many markets, the woodworking and processing industry is in good spirits six months before the Ligna trade fair.
Already, around two-thirds of the long-standing Ligna exhibitors have confirmed their participation at Ligna for 2023 (May 15-19, 2023), thus already filling 75 percent of the exhibition space. "This positive development underpins the importance of Ligna for the woodworking community as a central meeting place and platform for development and innovation," says Dr. Bernhard Dirr, Managing Director of VDMA Woodworking Machinery, classifying the high level of registrations. "After four years, the industry needs the face-to-face meeting in Hannover. We are all the more pleased that virtually all market leaders have already decided to participate in Ligna 2023 and are presenting world firsts that will be on show for the first time at the event."
"The current booking status and our discussions in recent months show us the high level of loyalty and commitment of our exhibitors to Ligna and the Hanover location for the live demonstration not only of machines and tools, but of total solutions around products and services," says Stephanie Wagner, Ligna Project Manager. "We are convinced that, in close cooperation with the exhibitors, we will turn the upcoming Ligna 2023 into the leading international showcase we are used to. Along the entire value chain, innovative solutions for all treatment and processing steps, from logging to surface finishing, will be on display. And not only for the raw material wood, the core of our Ligna, but for other materials such as plastics, glass, stone and composites, among others." The world's leading trade fair for the woodworking and wood processing industry is jointly organized by Deutsche Messe and VDMA Woodworking Machinery. It showcases the complete range of products and services for the primary and secondary industries: tools, machinery and equipment for individual and series production, surface technology, wood-based materials production, sawmill technology, energy from wood, machine components and automation technology, as well as machinery and equipment for forestry, log and sawn timber production.
