IST Metz presents broad product portfolio and UV analyzer at European Coatings Show

At the IST Metz GmbH booth at ECS 2023, visitors will learn all about excimer technology, which is used in many industrial sectors and applications for matting, disinfection, and surface cleaning and modification. An excimer lamp refers to a source of ultraviolet light that has extremely high-energy emission at a wavelength of 172 nm. The result of curing with excimer lamps is extremely hard and matte surfaces that offer high scratch and abrasion resistance. Industrial production requires reliable and cost-consciously designed technologies. The MBS-L is a powerful air-cooled UV unit with a lamp length of 550 to 1,600 mm and a maximum lamp power of 200W/cm. The components in the unit, such as lamp, reflector and pneumatic cylinder, are easily accessible. Lamp replacement is possible without removing any parts.

The air-cooled LEDcure VZ was specially developed to meet the requirements of the large-format printing industry and has an output of 16 W/cm². Thanks to XT8 LED booster technology, the LEDcure VZ has up to 30 percent more power than conventional LED systems. The higher curing speeds allow the LED systems to cover a wide range of customer applications. The mobile HANDcure also features high-performance LED technology from Metz and is typically used in networking and detection applications. The device has a spectral range of 365 nm to 415 nm and weighs 1.0 kg in its basic version. This ensures fatigue-free work in a wide range of applications. With the UV-Analyzer, an app-based measuring device, users can independently check the curing quality of their UV units at any time. The app can be downloaded free of charge. The starter kit includes the UV Analyzer Stick with cap, charging cable, lanyard and measuring strips and is distributed by UV specialist and manufacturer IST Metz.
