The test center of cleaning chemicals manufacturer Kyzen (Nashville, USA) is now home to a CNp system from LPW's PowerJet compact series. The high purity specialist has made this available to its US partner for customer trials and internal development projects.

The American cleaning chemicals manufacturer Kyzen already offers a variety of cleaning systems for a wide range of applications and cleaning media (aqueous or solvent-based) at its test center. The cyclic nucleation process (CNp) now rounds off the portfolio. In recent weeks, the LPW application engineering team has trained colleagues in the USA on the technology and system. At the same time, LPW CEO Gerhard Koblenzer provided a comprehensive insight into the world of ultra-clean manufacturing processes. He reports: "Our CNp process supports cleaning tasks with fixed or variable complex geometries in a unique way. Be it classic bulk goods, densely packed set goods, complex structures after machining, additively manufactured capillaries or components with sensitive coatings or surfaces. An ultrasonic cleaning process alone is often not sufficient here. Or it may even lead to changes or even damage."

At the new test site in the state of Tennessee, customers from the aforementioned fields of application can now access the LPW system, which was received with great interest by the American industry audience at the PMTS trade fair (Cleveland). with the following equipment: Fully automatic compact chamber cleaning system, batch size 600 x 400 x 300 mm, footprint 4 m², 2 tanks, electropolished and indirectly heated treatment chamber, external DI rinse, CNp/ ultrasonic integrated as well as combined hot air/vacuum/infrared drying. The machine is a module from the PowerJet compact series. This currently consists of three standard versions: PJ compact clean for high-quality pre/precision cleaning, PJ compact pure for connection to the cleanroom for ultra-fine and ultra-fine cleaning applications and PJ compact Clean AM for post-processing applications in additive manufacturing (residual powder removal and cleaning after subsequent processing). An additional module is also available that can be integrated into the overall system as a 3rd loop (DI or ultra-pure water loop).

Solving demanding cleaning challenges together with LPW

The PowerJet compact modules are used in a wide variety of industrial sectors, especially in the high purity sector. Each can be combined with existing cleaning technology to increase quality. Just a few weeks ago, an LPW customer in the Netherlands achieved "Grade1-ASML" in the high-vacuum technology supply environment by integrating the pure module as the final cleaning step in a high-purity process chain. "As one of the few facilities in the world - and the only one in North America - with a production-scale cyclic nucleation system, we are uniquely positioned to solve demanding cleaning challenges," says Jason Schwartz, Global Product Line Manager of Evolving and Growing Technologies at Kyzen. "Our collaboration with the LPW team now provides our chemists and technicians with an unparalleled platform for innovation, experimentation and results that meet the most stringent requirements."
