Across the group, 29 young people are starting their careers at Technotrans in the new training year. Despite the increasing shortage of skilled workers, the thermal management specialist was once again able to fill the majority of training positions early on.

Technotrans trains its junior staff at its headquarters in Sassenberg and at its sites in Meinerzhagen, Holzwickede, Bad Doberan and Baden-Baden. With a total of more than 130 trainees, the group continues to consistently focus on developing its own young talent through internal training. The new trainees can now expect training that is strongly characterized by personal initiative and creative projects. A particular highlight of the past year was the construction of a pinball machine by the trainees themselves. Trainees from the fields of product design, electronics, mechatronics and metal technology were involved from the initial idea to the final implementation. They then exhibited the finished pinball machine in the Technotrans design at the company stand at the careers orientation fair (BOM) in Warendorf, where it could be tried out by interested pupils. "Projects like the pinball machine are an excellent example of how we promote enthusiasm among our trainees and convey learning content in a practical way," says Anna-Lena Freese, Head of Training at Technotrans. "The trainees not only had great fun implementing their own ideas, but also gained valuable professional experience as part of the team."

Technotrans is looking for apprentices with analog and digital recruiting

Technotrans relies on a mix of analog and digital recruiting measures to ensure its continued success in filling apprenticeship positions. Close cooperation with schools in the region through application training and a presence at training fairs remain an important pillar. At the same time, the online presence has proven to be extremely effective. In particular, the TikTok channel run by the trainees themselves has become the tool with the widest reach, with humorous videos and a post that achieved 1.6 million views. While the current cohort is starting, Technotrans is already looking ahead: the application phase for the start of training in 2026 has begun. Anyone interested can apply now to start their career next year.
