Hendrik Rawe took over the management of the "Ligna, Interschutz, Parts2clean and SurfaceTechnology Germany" department in the "Trade Fair & Product Management" division at Deutsche Messe on November 1, 2024.

As the new department head, Hendrik Rawe (34) will report to Arno Reich, head of the Trade Fair & Product Management division at Deutsche Messe. The individual trade fair project managers and thus the technical leadership of the teams will continue to be in the hands of the familiar managers: Stephanie Wagner (Ligna), Bernd Heinold (Interschutz) and Christoph Nowak (Parts2clean, SurfaceTechnology Germany). Hendrik Rawe succeeds Hendrik Engelking as Head of Department, who left the company on November 30, 2023. After completing his Master's degree in Marketing and Sales Management at the FHDW Hannover, Rawe began his professional career at Koelnmesse in 2015 with a trainee program and subsequently became a Junior Consultant in Corporate Development. His activities there included supporting M&A projects, working on the strategic development, business planning and operational implementation of new event formats as well as program management in the area of digital transformation. In March 2021, Rawe then took on the role of Digital Project Manager at Koelnmesse until his move to Deutsche Messe and played a key role in driving forward the company's digital transformation and the development of new digital products.

Hendrik Rawe has been a volunteer firefighter since his youth. In 2017, he founded the Cologne Kalk fire brigade as fire brigade group leader and the associated youth fire department in 2021. He was awarded the Cologne Volunteer Award in 2023 for his commitment. Until shortly before his move to Hanover, he was a senior fire inspector in the management service of the Cologne Volunteer Fire Brigade. "We are delighted that in Hendrik Rawe we have been able to recruit a committed and thematically versatile trade fair expert as department head for Ligna, Interschutz, Parts2clean and SurfaceTechnology Germany. In his previous roles, he has built up a wealth of experience and - particularly in the fire and rescue sector - an excellent network and has demonstrated important leadership qualities. His sense for people, trade fairs and different industries will benefit him in the conceptual development of his event portfolio," says Arno Reich, Business Unit Director of Deutsche Messe.
