The epoxy hardener Ancamine 2844 from Evonik sets new industry standards for the ultra-fast curing of protective coatings. It enables high-quality, glossy surfaces even at low temperatures.
Evonik has expanded its hardener portfolio with Ancamine 2844, a novel epoxy hardener developed for multi-component spray applications. This new highly functional aliphatic amine hardener sets new standards with its ultra-fast curing properties and rapid property development under demanding low temperature and high humidity conditions in marine and protective coating applications. "With this latest crosslinker, we offer a product that not only increases productivity in applications that require fast turnaround times, but also maintains surface quality and protection in even the most demanding environments."
The ultra-fast drying speed of Ancamine 2844 allows it to be used in temperatures as low as 5°C, making it ideal for winter coatings and cold temperature applications. Its excellent surface appearance and combination of low viscosity and low loading with high solids content ensure ease of application and a flawless finish. In addition, Ancamine 2844's high chemical and corrosion resistance protects surfaces and withstands salt spray tests with exposure times of up to 3000 hours, making it a robust solution for fast-curing protective and marine coatings.
