Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid: New Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board

At the Supervisory Board meeting at Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid on June 26, 2025, key personnel changes were decided. Sven Braatz, authorized signatory and Head of Sales at Hotset GmbH, was elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Sven Braatz succeeds Matthias Poschmann, who has held the office responsibly for many years. Andreas Balla, Managing Director of Murtfeldt GmbH & Co KG, was also elected Deputy Chairman. "I would like to thank the Supervisory Board for their trust," says Sven Braatz. "The Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid stands for technological progress, practical research and close networking with industry. Together with the team and all partners, we want to continue along this path and further strengthen the innovative power of the institute." Andreas Balla adds: "The close interaction between research, industry and political levels is the basis for the Institute's success. The institute relies on close partnerships with industry, innovative strength and practical solutions. I look forward to actively shaping the future of the Kunststoff-Institut together with Sven Braatz, the entire Supervisory Board and the whole team."
There was also a significant personnel change in the supporting association Kunststoff Institut Lüdenscheid e.V.: Dr. Fabian Schleithoff (SIHK zu Hagen) was dismissed as Managing Director of the supporting association at the extraordinary general meeting on 26 June. Dr. Schleithoff is moving to the IHK Nord Westfalen. Sven Braatz thanked Dr. Schleithoff for his commitment in a very dynamic phase and wished him all the best for his new professional challenge. At the same time, Claus Hegewald - also from the SIHK - was elected as interim managing director. He will take over the position until Dr. Schleithoff's successor can be officially elected at the ordinary general meeting of the Kunststoff Institut Lüdenscheid e.V. supporting organization. Braatz thanked Hegewald for taking on this responsible task and warmly welcomed him to his new position.
