General Motors names BASF supplier of the year 2022

General Motors (GM) has named BASF Supplier of the Year 2022. GM recently celebrated the award winners at its 31st annual Supplier of the Year event in San Antonio, Texas, United States.
General Motors' Supplier of the Year Award recognizes global suppliers who exceed GM's requirements and provide high-quality innovative technologies in the automotive industry. This is the 16th time BASF has received the award. "We are honored to receive this award from our great strategic partner General Motors," said Jeffrey Jones, BASF vice president for Automotive OEM Coatings and key account manager for GM. "It reflects decades of collaboration and our strong partnership with GM in developing solutions for a sustainable future." Recipients of GM's Supplier of the Year Award are selected each year based on their performance in Product Purchasing, Global Services for Purchasing and Manufacturing, Customer Support, and Aftersales and Logistics by a global, cross-functional team at GM.
"We are very pleased to recognize these outstanding suppliers after another challenging year in the automotive industry," said Jeff Morrison, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. "They have overcome numerous obstacles and demonstrated what it means to be resilient, resourceful and determined. In addition, working with GM's team, these suppliers have demonstrated their commitment to sustainable innovation and the development of advanced solutions." BASF's award recognizes the company's efforts to provide GM with high-quality products and outstanding service. "BASF is culturally aligned with GM and supports GM on its journey to zero accidents, zero emissions and zero delays," Jones said. In total, 121 suppliers from a total of 17 different countries were recognized at the event.
