Earthquake: Dürr Group donates € 150,000 for humanitarian aid

The Dürr Group is supporting the relief efforts in the earthquake zone in Turkey and Syria. The company is donating a total of 150,000 euros, most of which will go to the German Red Cross.
15,000 euros of the donation sum comes from the two national companies of Dürr and HOMAG in Turkey and will benefit the non-governmental aid organization AHBAP. In addition, cash and in-kind donation campaigns are underway by employees. "The images of the devastation and the daily rising death toll have shaken us all deeply," notes Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, CEO of Dürr AG. "This catastrophe has brought suffering to so many people in just a few minutes, taking away loved ones and their homes. It was therefore quickly clear to us that we had to help."
The German Red Cross is working closely with its partners in the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement on relief efforts. In addition to rescue and recovery work, this also includes providing blood reserves and supplying survivors with food and clothing. The earthquake has also caused great concern among the Dürr Group's workforce. At Dürr's headquarters in Bietigheim, among other places, employees are collecting donations in kind that will be taken to the disaster area in cooperation with a Turkish aid organization. Employees of the two national companies and a Dürr service base in Turkey have already donated to various rescue organizations in the country.
