Ineos Automotive and BASF's Coatings division have signed an agreement to develop a global program for body and refinish work. The partners are thus entering into a long-term strategic partnership.

The partnership between Ineos and BASF Coatings includes the provision of sustainable refinish coatings, expertise, the latest digital color matching tools and training. "We are delighted to be working with BASF over the coming years to develop a world-class sustainable paint program based on the highest quality refinish standards for premium vehicles," said Steve Graham, Global Head of Aftersales, Ineos Automotive. "With BASF's technical support and experience in dealing with the latest workshop standards, the Ineos Automotive network can now rely on a partner that shares our commitment to customer service excellence." BASF will ensure that the most sustainable and efficient repair techniques are used across Ineos' workshop network in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.

"The automotive industry has never been as exciting as it is today. We are delighted to expand our collaboration with Ineos Automotive. We will align and complement Ineos' vision with our own strategic principles to build a new, strong and rewarding partnership. We will build on our highly innovative solutions portfolio, which has now established itself as the industry standard," said Chris Titmarsh, Senior Vice President, Global BASF Automotive Refinish Coatings Solutions. Ineos has already been working with BASF Coatings since 2021 as a surface technology partner for its first off-road vehicle, the Ineos Grenadier, which is manufactured in Hambach, France. With the new agreement, BASF is expanding its partnership with Ineos to include the development and implementation of a body and paint program for the Ineos Grenadier and the recently launched Quartermaster Double Cab pick-up variant.
