Tyrolit Opens Its First Production Plant in the Growing Indian Market

After a year of construction, Tyrolit officially opened its first production plant in India, located in Pune. With a population of over 7 million, Pune is one of the largest cities in the world’s largest democracy. The Tyrolean technology company had previously been represented in India by a branch office and is now taking an important strategic step by establishing its own manufacturing facility in response to growing local demand. “With the plant in Pune, we are expanding our presence in one of the world’s most important growth markets for the long term,” says Peter Dollinger, Spokesman for the Executive Board of the Tyrolit Group. “As a reliable partner from Europe, we are also taking responsibility for stable supply chains in the region and strengthening our international competitiveness.”

Super Abrasives for the Indian Metal Industry

Production in Pune, which covers an area of approximately 4,^{000 m²}, focuses on super abrasives for high-precision applications in the micrometer range. The tools are used, among other places, in the automotive industry, tool and mold making, aerospace, and medical technology—industries in which the highest precision, process reliability, and surface quality are critical.
