Which digital and AI-based solutions offer tangible benefits to electroplating companies, and how can they get started in a way that makes economic sense? These questions will be the focus of Galvanext 2026 on November 3 and 4, 2026, at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA in Stuttgart.

The two-day Galvanext 2026 Future Forum is aimed at decision-makers, production managers, and specialists in electroplating and surface technology. Experts from industry, research, and consulting will demonstrate how process data, sensor technology, electroplating systems, MES, and ERP work together and where artificial intelligence can already provide valuable support. Practical examples will offer insights into AI-supported analysis methods as well as the automation of quotation and order processes. Other presentations will cover cost-effectiveness, the EU AI Act, compliance, and consulting and funding opportunities. The Galvanext Lab Tour will guide participants through the Fraunhofer IPA’s electroplating facility and battery technology.

Galvanext 2026 showcases solutions for electroplating facilities

Galvanext 2026 not only demonstrates what is technically possible but also highlights which solutions are suitable for electroplating operations and what concrete next steps might look like. The event is organized by Galvanicus, the support association for technical schools specializing in electroplating and printed circuit board technology. The Fraunhofer IPA is a partner of the event. Together, both organizations combine industrial practice, research, continuing education, and professional exchange.
