At WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, Dörken presented solutions for efficient corrosion protection in the wind industry and used the trade show as a platform for in-depth dialogue with customers, partners, and industry experts.

At WindEnergy, held September 22–25, 2026, the international wind industry gathered at the Hamburg Exhibition Center to discuss current developments, technological innovations, and prospects for the energy transition. Approximately 40,000 trade visitors from over 100 countries across the entire value chain took advantage of the opportunity to engage in face-to-face discussions and networking. Dörken also drew a positive conclusion: The focus was on numerous stimulating discussions with customers and partners from the wind industry, as well as an in-depth exchange on current challenges and future requirements for modern corrosion protection systems. Key topics included, among others, two-component room-temperature-curing coating systems and products without intentionally added PFAS.

Functional Surfaces and Corrosion Protection Systems for the Onshore and Offshore Sectors

“WindEnergy is one of the most important platforms for us to engage with and maintain dialogue with key industry players,” explains René Frederik Rother, Key Account Manager for Industrial Coatings. “We received a lot of valuable input and were also able to demonstrate how Dörken contributes to increasing the durability and reliability of components in wind turbines with innovative coating solutions.” To this end, Dörken showcased its comprehensive expertise in the field of functional surfaces and corrosion protection systems for demanding applications in the onshore and offshore sectors. In addition to technical discussions, the trade show also provided an opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new contacts. The personal exchanges with various experts from the wind industry provided valuable insights into current market requirements and future developments. “The positive response to our trade show presence and the high quality of the discussions demonstrate how important direct dialogue is for joint innovation,” adds Klaus Gradtke, also a Key Account Manager for Industrial Coatings.
