At the Caldan Group, Hans Gustav Rasmussen, the former CFO, is taking over as CEO effective immediately. He succeeds Claus Nørgaard and intends to continue the growth trajectory of the material handling provider.

The Caldan Group, which is part of Axel Johnson International, has announced a change in its senior management. Claus Nørgaard is stepping down from his position as CEO of the Caldan Group following a mutual agreement with Axel Johnson International. Hans Gustav Rasmussen, previously CFO of the Caldan Group, will assume the role of CEO effective immediately. “I am very pleased that Hans Gustav is taking on the role of the new CEO of the Caldan Group. With his deep understanding of the business and his strong leadership presence, he is ideally positioned to continue driving the company forward. We look forward to continuing Caldan’s growth trajectory under his leadership. I would also like to thank Claus for his valuable contributions over the past five years as managing director,” says Anton Kullh, managing director of the Industrial Automation division at Axel Johnson International.

Caldan Aims to Continue Growing in Material Handling

Hans Gustav Rasmussen joined the company as CFO in 2022 after spending 14 years in senior finance roles at Vestas Wind Systems. Since then, he has been an integral part of the management team and has played a key role in implementing several strategically important initiatives. In doing so, he consistently views the business from the perspective of the value chain and focuses on the people and processes behind the numbers. He enjoys spending time on the production floor to connect with employees, understand them, and learn from them. “Caldan’s strength lies in the fact that we work together as a united international team—with in-depth expertise in material handling and a shared commitment to finding the right solution for every customer and always delivering on our promise,” says Hans Gustav Rasmussen, CEO of the Caldan Group. To ensure continuity, Claus Nørgaard and Hans Gustav Rasmussen will work together to facilitate an orderly transition. Afterward, Nørgaard will leave Caldan. The search for a new Chief Financial Officer has begun. Under Nørgaard’s leadership, the group has expanded globally over the past five years and recorded growth of more than 30 percent. Caldan Conveyor A/S is one of the world’s leading suppliers of conveyor systems for surface treatment and automated paint shops.
