Wagner closes fiscal year 2021/22 with very good result
The Wagner Group closed the past fiscal year 2021/22 with sales of more than 500 million euros and double-digit profitability. According to the surface equipment and plant manufacturer, the business strategy focused on innovation and digitalization is responsible for the good result.
"We have invested heavily over the past years to realize our vision and be the most innovative wet and powder applications company in everything we do," explains Dr. Bruno Niemeyer, CEO of the Wagner Group and Chairman of the Management Board of J. Wagner GmbH. "When the Corona pandemic shook the world, we were well prepared for the challenges thanks to our strategy. We adapted very quickly to the changes triggered by the pandemic in our interactions with customers and partners as well as within our entire organization. We work flexibly on a mobile or hybrid basis in the office and at home, we communicate digitally worldwide, both internally and externally, and we have developed digital solutions in equipment, facilities and services. All of these innovative offerings are highly valued by our customers and employees."
Examples of such digital offerings from Wagner in the Industrial Solutions Division include the use of Mixed Reality for training and maintenance, or a multilingual service app such as the web-based "Coatify" IoT platform, which can be used to intelligently visualize powder systems. A new e-commerce platform, Wagner365, has been developed for Wagner customers, which, according to the company, offers all the functions of a contemporary B2B e-commerce platform and yet is as visually appealing and easy to use as the leading end-customer web stores. On Jan. 31, 2022, the end of the past fiscal year, about 1,700 people were employed by the Wagner Group, 526 of whom worked for J. Wagner GmbH in Markdorf.
