PaintExpo 2024 ends with high visitor numbers

PaintExpo 2024 ended with high visitor numbers: 10,400 trade visitors came to meet 431 exhibitors from 25 countries at the world's leading trade fair for industrial painting technology. In addition to the number of visitors, the number of trade visitors from abroad also increased.
PaintExpo 2024, which took place in Karlsruhe from April 9 to 12, 2024, was very popular with visitors and thus exceeded the number of trade visitors from 2022. The proportion of foreign visitors also increased, with guests from 76 countries (2022: 57) and thus one in three visitors. The proportion of international exhibitors was 45 percent, making the trade fair more international than ever before. Both visitors and exhibitors and Leipziger Messe as the organizer were satisfied. 94 percent of exhibitors said they would come back next time, according to the survey. Of the visitors, as many as nine out of ten said they would be back next time. "We're very pleased about the great response from visitors, which has once again increased significantly compared to the last trade fair edition. PaintExpo proved to be powerful and innovative - and more international than ever before. The heart of industrial painting technology beat here for four days. This underscores PaintExpo's position as the world's most important source of inspiration for the industry," says Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe.
At PaintExpo 2024, which occupied three halls with an exhibition area of 31,500 square metres, topics such as automation, sustainability, efficiency and digitalization were high on the agenda. Many exhibitors showcased technologies and solutions from these areas in order to achieve sustainability goals and make the production process more efficient. Despite the challenging economic situation, which has also left its mark on the paint technology industry, the mood was largely optimistic. In view of an economic recovery, many companies are already investing again in order to become even more productive and competitive. Innovative, pioneering technologies for sustainable and energy-efficient painting processes will continue to accompany the industry for the rest of 2024. It will also be interesting to see where pioneering technologies such as the use of artificial intelligence (AI) will develop. The next PaintExpo will take place again in Karlsruhe from April 14 to 17, 2026.
