Corrosion test panels can be scanned in less than a minute using the newly developed sensor from Orontec without destroying the test panel. The manufacturer will be presenting the measuring device at PaintExpo 2024.

The results of the corrosion test are output as a report in accordance with DIN EN ISO 4628-8. The measuring device is very easy to use and fits on any laboratory bench. Laboratory staff will never have to scrape off test panels again. The non-contact measuring method is non-destructive and allows repeatable measurements, with the measurement data being made available and stored digitally.

The test panels can be further measured after the measurement, so that the corrosion progression can be followed over time on the same test panel. This saves a lot of material and resources and therefore belongs in every sustainably oriented laboratory. The system is autonomous and can be connected to a standard PC for further evaluation of the data. The same applies to a LIMS or other customer-specific laboratory management systems. Orontec will be exhibiting at PaintExpo 2024 in Hall 3, Stand 3120.
