C. Jentner GmbH has successfully certified its quality management system in accordance with DIN EN 9100. This qualifies the Pforzheim-based electroplating specialist as one of the few German service providers in this field for the high-tech segments of aviation, aerospace and the defense industry.

In the strictly regulated aviation, aerospace and defense industry markets, the focus is primarily on aspects such as process safety, consistent quality and uncompromising reliability. With the DIN EN 9100 audit carried out during ongoing operations, C. Jentner GmbH fulfills all the necessary requirements and thus demonstrates compliance with strict quality standards and a continuous improvement process. The basis for the successful certification was not least the proven digitalized production processes, AI-supported quality assurance and the complete documentation and traceability of all processes. As an industry-specific extension, DIN EN 9100 builds on the quality management system already in place at C. Jentner GmbH's existing quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001. The DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management system has also recently been recertified during ongoing operations. In addition, the company is planning to obtain initial certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 for the energy management system this year. The next project for 2027 is certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001, the standard for information security management systems (ISMS).

High demands on suppliers for aviation, aerospace and defense

The entire quality management system is assessed as part of the system audit for DIN EN 9100. Documentation plays an extremely important role here: Every work step in all processes - whether in procurement, production, quality assurance or sales - must be clearly described and documented so that reproducibility is guaranteed at all times, regardless of the person involved. Other key aspects of the audit are the competence of employees and corresponding training concepts - this ensures that specialist personnel have the necessary expertise at all times and throughout the entire process. During the three-day auditing process, documents and processes were comprehensively checked and people were audited. In addition to the high level of digitization, traceability, order and cleanliness were rated particularly positively. The certification that has now been awarded is valid for three years and requires both an annual surveillance audit and a recertification audit.

Few electroplating companies meet standards

"A certified quality management system in accordance with DIN EN 9100 is considered the gold standard in the strictly regulated aerospace and defense industry markets. Companies in these industries can be confident that the management system at C. Jentner GmbH meets the highest standards - with quality as well as high delivery reliability and reproducibility," comments Tobias Kleiber, Managing Director of C. Jentner GmbH. "There are only a few electroplating companies in Germany that meet the demanding standards of the aviation, aerospace and defense industries. We are therefore very proud to now be able to fulfill the requirements with letter and seal and thus also supply these industries with high-quality coatings," adds Chris Jentner, Managing Partner of C. Jentner GmbH. "We see the certification not only as confirmation, but also as an incentive to continuously develop our competitiveness. With strategic vision and consistent improvement, we want to ensure that we continue to offer our customers the best possible services in the future."
